Where can I buy a traditional kimono for a plus size figure? Greetings! I am a size 22/24 in women's clothing accounted for the U.S. and I had difficulty trying to find a kimono Furisode (long sleeves almost to the ankles).
I have a kimono I'm an anime convention. I think it's aa tomesode-black with colorful flowers and spirals and cranes and short sleeves. The sleeves are to my right above my knees.
So, can someone help me?
Maybe here?

you would most likely get one made. you will not find a truth in your size, especially if you are taller than 5'6 ". I am that great and I'm taller than almost all Japanese female I knew when I lived there. be willing to pay much, fabric moving in the manufacture of them, even those made ready for my size (8-10) ran through the range of one thousand dollars, and marriage .. in the range of $ 5k .
If you are looking for a real kimono Furisode or costume?
I found much truth on Japanese websites, but they are very expensive.
I could not find a ready-made kimono fits.
However, you can buy a kimono tailor.
not too expensive on e-bay.
How about this Furisode, sleeve is shorter than 6 cm regularly.
But length is only 162cm.

Maybe you can find a little old kimono and you can make Furisode.
I think Ykata and Furisode (all kimono) made the same way. (Just sleeves are longer.)
