Raggedy Ann Costume

I read across America with my kindergarten class Monday and I want to dress like raggedy Ann. I do not really want to buy the costume, but I will as a last resort. What are the ideas to make the costume.

Ragdoll
I took an old bed and cut the feet, I sewed patches in various places over the sleeper. I also sewed wide cuffs at wrist and ankles. (Because the sleepers were to small). He looked so cute.
