Day, wedding lake, white shirt, green tie, male wedding party. Groom chose suits and asked that we wear Brown shoes w / no further details.

Well, for the color I would go with Brown. You do not want to upset the groom. And I would say that your normal dress up shoes. Nothing too fancy or too casual.
