Danskin Tights

I am looking for a thread of some properties and the only way I know how to get it is to destroy a pair of Danskin tights. Does anyone know what type of thread or material facts are these?

There are many different types, the weight of Danskin (which is a brand name, of course - there are others by Capezio, Baryshnikov, etc.) leotards.
